Celebrating the day of our Independence is a privilege that all Americans should observe. As a suggestion, if you have an American flag, put it out so everyone that sees it may remember that freedom isn't free. Hopefully people will also recall how many brave Americans have given up all their tomorrows so we may enjoy our todays in freedom. Now, more that ever before in our lifetime, that remembrance needs to be displayed, as we are losing our individual freedoms with every passing day.

“From their spending habits, an economic collapse seems to be the goal of Congress and this administration,” he said in his June 22, 2009, weekly address.

This Wednesday, 6-24-2009, ABC will broadcast from the White House the Obama Healthcare plan. Instead of discussing the pros and cons, the ABC network, now a mouthpiece for the Obama Administration, will use this as an infomercial to sell the Obama Socialist Healthcare plan. What happened to the free and objective press in America? We now have all the major networks, with the exception of Fox News, excitedly pushing all of Obama's plans, regardless of their merits and any financial and moral problems they may present to the American people. Sad time in the new USSA.

Congressman Forbes has it right - we are a Judeo-Christian Nation. Obama stated in Turkey during his whirlwind trip to the Middle East that America was no longer a Judeo-Christian Nation. All that's neceaasry in response to that foolish quote is BS. Please view the video below by clicking on the link.

Farewell to America
Lou Pritchett

Farewell to the America we have loved for two centuries and hello to a new far-left driven president who promised change and will most likely deliver on it,

Farewell, to an America driven by individuals with strong work ethics to one which will resemble French, German, and British societies where big government, big welfare, union controlled labor, four day work weeks, ten week vacations are the rule. Societies which constantly ask "---where's mine?"

Farewell to capitalism, job creation, lower taxes, smaller government, fewer entitlements, safer cities, personal responsibility and sound work ethics.

Farewell to adequate military defense spending to protect us from our enemies who wish and plan to kill us.

Farewell to close ties with our best and only friend in the middle east---Israel.

Farewell to maintaining a conservative Supreme Court.

Farewell to any chance of keeping HealthCare out of the hands and control of government.

Farewell to the famous American standard of living--a magnet to the world.

Farewell to conservative 'talk radio' as an antidote to the biased media. The

Fairness Doctrine will return.

Farewell to any hope for educating our college kids in something other than liberal mush.

Today is truly a sad day for millions of Americans as they slowly allow the election results to sink in. Today, for the first time in modern history, America took a giant step toward changing not only the direction, but the entire character of the country from free enterprise driven to big government driven. Our only hope is to start now planning and building a strong conservative base which can reclaim the Presidency and Congress in four years and start repairing the damage. God help us if we fail.

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don't understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and 'class', always blaming others.

High court blocks Chrysler sale to Fiat

Justice Ginsburg delays Chrysler sale to Fiat
On Monday June 8, 2009, 4:35 pm EDT
Buzz up!

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has temporarily delayed Chrysler's sale to Fiat. Ginsburg says in an order Monday that the sale is "stayed pending further order."

The action indicates that the delay may only be temporary.

Chrysler has said a delay could scuttle the deal. A federal appeals court in New York had earlier approved the sale, but gave opponents some time to file an appeal with the Supreme Court.

Ginsburg issued her order just before 4 p.m. EDT (2000 GMT), when Chrysler would have been free to complete the sale of most of its assets to Fiat. Ginsburg could decide on her own whether to extend the delay or ask the full court to decide. It is unclear when she or the court will act.

Meanwhile, a senior Obama administration official said Fiat would shake up management and change the culture of Chrysler if the courts allow the sale to go through. The official said management changes would go deeper than the departure of CEO Bob Nardelli and Vice Chairman Tom LaSorda. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the changes have not been made public.

Dear Linda,

Since you signed the "Stop the Energy Tax" petition, almost 50,000 other people have joined you in this effort.

Now it's crunch time. Roll Call is reporting that Nancy Pelosi wants this passed by the Fourth of July recess, so that doesn't leave us much time to get the facts out.

To get moving, we've started the "5 for 5: Stop the Energy Tax Challenge." Please read the 5 facts below, and forward them to 5 friends. Then, tell them to sign the Stop the Energy Tax petition, and recruit 5 of their friends.

Think about it - how would these added expenses affect you, and your family? This new energy tax would:
1. Raise inflation-adjusted gasoline prices by 74 percent
2. Raise electricity rates 90 percent after adjusting for inflation
3. Raise the cost of living of a typical household by $1,600 a year
4, Raise residential natural gas prices by 55 percent
5. Destroy 1-3 million jobs per year, every year until 2035

This new energy tax is neither an energy nor an environmental solution. It's a tax. And nobody thinks they're under-taxed.

Please act now and forward these 5 facts to 5 people who would be affected by higher energy taxes. We also have a "Tell-a-Friend" tool at the bottom of the petition page that you can use.
Together, we'll make the politicians listen - and act.

Your friend,

Newt Gingrich

This is a very serious video that calls it like it is - a wake up call to pacifists in America to realize what America is up against. Take a few minutes to view this. Worth the time in my opinion.

This is a video about what could possibly be coming to a theater near you in the next few years. There are no facts to support this since the government has no transparency left, but it is possible that this may be in the cards. Better to be prepared than not.

Call you Representatives this week and voice your objection to putting Sotomayor on the Supreme Court for life!

Yes, conservatives in the Senate CAN stop the confirmation of Judge Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court. Contrary to what you may be hearing from the liberal media, stopping this nomination does not have to be a "long shot." It would only take a handful of Republicans who have the courage and the backbone to do the right thing. But first, let's make one thing clear. Obama could have chosen any number of liberals to replace retiring Justice David Souter on the High Court. He could have chosen someone who, like Justice Souter, was simply left-of-center... a garden variety liberal... but he didn't. Obama selected Judge Sotomayor because she's an extreme leftist... because he knows she will likely allow her liberal political biases to affect her decision making on the Court... because he knows she's already disposed to "legislate" a leftist agenda from the bench.

It's a great day for Tennessee! Maybe Texas will follow!!

Posted on 03 June 2009

Today, the Tennessee State Senate approved Senate Bill 1610 (SB1610), the Tennesse Firearms Freedom Act, by a vote of 22-7. The House companion bill, HB1796 previously passed the House by a vote of 87-1.
On its way to the Governor’s desk, the bill states that “federal laws and regulations do not apply to personal firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition that is manufactured in Tennessee and remains in Tennessee. The limitation on federal law and regulation stated in this bill applies to a firearm, a firearm accessory, or ammunition that is manufactured using basic materials and that can be manufactured without the inclusion of any significant parts imported into this state.”
The bill also states that “firearms accessories imported into Tennessee that are subject to federal regulation do not subject a firearm to federal regulation under interstate commerce simply because they are attached to or used in conjunction with a firearm in Tennessee.”
“Be it the federal government mandating changes in order for states to receive federal funds or the federal government telling us how to regulate commerce contained completely within this state – enough is enough,” urged Judiciary Chairman Mae Beavers. “Our founders fought too hard to ensure states’ sovereignty and I am sick and tired of activist federal officials and judges sticking their noses where they don’t belong.”

The data is in for April. Here's what happened:
1. Household personal income (inflation adjusted) rose but every penny - and then some - went into savings or paying down debts. Consumer spending, on which Obama is betting to stimulate the economy, actually fell. None of the stimulus money was spent. None.
2. Meanwhile, to pay for this stimulus spending that didn't stimulate, Obama had to borrow so much money that long term interest rates have almost doubled since he took office, forcing postponement of abandonment of business expansion and hiring across the board. What a record! Here are the details. In April, personal household, inflation-adjusted income rose by $122 billion. Of that increase, one-third or $44 billion came from the government's stimulus program. But while personal income was rising, household savings (which includes paying down credit card balances, mortgages, student loans, car loans, etc) rose by $132 billion -- $10 billion more than the rise in income. So personal consumption dropped 0.1%.The stimulus package was a total and complete failure. As predicted, as happened with Bush's 2008 tax cut, as happened with the Japanese stimulus packages of the 90s, fearful consumers sat on their money and wouldn't spend it. Keynesian economics didn't work. Again. But the debt sure piled up. The deficit quadrupled and is sending interest rates soaring as the government elbows aside businesses and consumers at the loan window, all in a desperate effort to borrow enough money to spend enough money to stimulate the economy which isn't happening. As we describe in our new book (out June 23rd) Catastrophe, Keynesian economics doesn't work. The theory for rational expectations has taken its place. Consumers are not idiots. They know that when their paycheck is fatter - either because of tax cuts or government spending - that it is not the beginning of nirvana but just a short term, one shot respite from hard times. They know the difference between standing in front on an electric fan and a windy day.Barack Obama has fatally undermined our currency, our solvency, our financial stability, and - ultimately - our economy all to spend money that has had no economic effect! Is Obama a failure? Not by his lights. His goal was never to stimulate the economy. His goal was to expand government spending and he used the recession as an excuse to do so. And, by this standard, he is a raging success. With the stimulus spending, the government proportion of GDP will rise from about 35% to about 40% and with health care "reform" it will go soaring into the mid-forties, bringing us to parity with Germany en route to France! But the results are in: None of Obama's spending is doing anything to help the economy.Of course, the process of household savings, designed to pay down debt, is very healthy. Economists call it de-leveraging. By the start of the recession, the debt American households owe had risen from 70% of their annual income in 1995 to 140% (excluding mortgages). Now it is on its way back down again. And, eventually, that will lead to a real recovery -- If Obama doesn't wreck the currency and bring on mega-inflation before then. (But he probably will).

In his seventh video, Dick Morris discusses how Barack Obama is severing a 60 year U.S. policy of support for Israel even as the mortal threat of Iranian nuclear weapons loom and how Hillary Clinton is helping to implement his Arabist policies.
